York Medical Society is situated in Stonegate in the heart of the medieval footstreets of York and is not accessible by car.
From York station (approximately 10 minutes walk)
Turn left from the station concourse and walk east towards the Minster, which can be seen in the distance. Pass the Royal York Hotel on left and proceed ahead at traffic lights. Follow the pavement under the arch and turn to the left to cross over Lendal Bridge with the River Ouse below and into Museum Street.
After 200 metres turn right at traffic lights into Blake Street, passing the Assembly Rooms and Macdonald’s on your right. At Betty’s Tea-rooms turn left onto Stonegate (a pedestrian street).
23 Stonegate is on the right just past Mulberry Hall, through a set of iron gates. The right hand door at the top of the passageway provides access to the Medical Society rooms.

Passing Deansgate Station on the right, continue through the traffic lights straight ahead. Continue through the next set of traffic lights at the corner of Deansgate and Great Bridgewater Street (passing the Hilton Hotel on your right). Continue along Deansgate for 200 metres until you reach St Johns Street on your left. Parking can be found on St John Street or there is a multi storey car park opposite the Hilton Hotel (turn right at Great Bridgewater Street and then take the first left into the NCP carpark).
